My Photography Collection

I was a school photographer in college in Worcester MA and learned how to develop black and white film. I took classes the Worcester Art Museum in the 1980's. My Olympus OM-1 went into the closet when digital cameras started showing up. Most photos today are taken on my iPhone. But I want to start taking black and white photos on film again, and incorporate the images into my printmaking. With today's film scanners and Photoshop, a dark room is no longer a requirement.

I found a folder of negatives labeled 1979 - 1980. This collection was scanned with the Wolverine F2D Titan scanner and edited with Photoshop.

As the saying goes: “A jack of all trades is a master of none, but often times better than a master of one.” I like to experiment in many creative forms, professionally as a software engineer and for fun I have experimented with Photography, Pottery, Writing (prose and poetry). My current big experiment is Printmaking. I am the owner of D.M. Penny Press, a printmaking studio in Manchester NH. The studio has been in operation since 2015 and I do offer limited memberships for experienced prinkmakers looking for access to a press and other equipment.
